When should you move to a toddler bed?

I would like to know at what age a child usually switch to a toddler bed, and where people generally * Begin potty training. Thank you.

I moved my daughter from a crib to a toddler bed the day she stepped out on her own crib. She was just age of two. With the introduction of the pot …. I started meeting the potty in our bathroom when she was about 18 months old. I did not expect her to use it but I wanted to start showing it to her, telling her what it was. At the time she was already saying she was a "big girl" so I began to tell her that "big girls" use the potty. I also made a special trip with her to Wal-mart to buy her "big girl" briefs, which were really pull-ups. She was very excited. Again, I did not expect her to be successful in her use them – just trying to introduce the idea. From then on, she is interested in sitting on potty for short periods – and soon we began to make progress. She also attended kindergarten at the time when a few children who were slightly older, if you begin to use the potty – and it made her more interested in doing it yourself. All this to say, she was completely potty trained during the day at almost 2 and half, and then was out of the training pant full of 3rd Now she had a handful of accidents during the night over the next year or so, but the mostly she did great! I think we could have been really really lucky! LOL! Good luck!
