Why have so many fans love Dale Jr. He has not even won a championship! Am I missing something?

Dale Jr. has not won squat. Yes a couple of high speed ovals like Daytona. Ya, so, as has Michael Waltrip. Why do all these fans love him so much. Everybody Hates Jeff Gordon, who has 4 receive the 4 championships. Not to mention, let us see Jimmie Johnson's 1, Kurt Bush 1, Tony Stewart, I think 2, but no Jr. on this list. I just do not get it. I guess just a lot of hopefuls out there, because he will not win one this year either. So what is 5 maybe 6 years in the elite class, and he has not won the big one. Looks like me just a mass carryovers from the father. Yes father was fantastic! no doubt, but Jr. has not proved a thing to me. Come with the fans. He will be like the other 35 or so who have not a championship. Time for you fans to get used to being runner up. I wish someone could give me one good reason to be a fan of # 8th
