Wood Baby

Is it okay for my baby guinea pig to eat her wood shaving bedding?

Its not guy, I'm not sure what kind of tree it is beautiful, whatever standard it is. I just got my piggy girl today, I would not want her to get sick. Is it okay for her to be chowing down on it? If not, how can I stop it? Thank you!

The Cambridge Cavy Trust recommends against using wood chips and sawdust, as it can cause respiratory problems. I use hay and Pet Life's safe bed. Sure the bed is made of vegetable materials, so it is safe for them to eat. Make sure she always has plenty of hay, they need to have hay available at all times.
