Biology BEAN LAB that simulated natural choice ... I need help to understand my problem PLEASE?

I had a biology lab, where we used different tools to collect beans. The simulated natural selection, and if you have done this lab before, I need help?? Please .... its due tomorrow! : O Overall, the population of beans fell .... and some "predator" had a better performance than others ... but I need a more precise understanding of it. This Q I have been forced to answer, and I'm not sad .... please help! What trends have you observed in both predator and prey, how can one explain these trends in terms of natural Auri selection, thanks for the insight. I didn't think about it that way!

I've never heard of or done this lab ... but I will try to help you. Let us say that the various tools you used were predators and the different types of beans were byttet.-Natural selection will favor those predators (gear) with adjustments which allows them easier to catch prey (beans) .- However, natural selection will favor these prey (beans) with adaptations that allow them to escape captivated by predators (tools). Here's an example:-Predator (kitchen) with a large hole in the middle of it will be able to catch larger prey (beans) but the small / medium sized raptors will pass through det.-predator with a medium sized hole in the center will be able to capture both large and medium-sized prey in contrast to only one size (large). This predator out compete the other predator and the other predators eventually die out. Meaning, natural selection selected against predator with a large hole in the middle. A medium hole in the middle can be seen as an adaptation (in a sense) and natural selection selects for this tilpasning.-shape of the bean may be an adaptation of prey. It's something you probably want to take into account when they answer your questions. I hope it helps. * This is a gross simplification of natural selection
