When is the best time to start buying nursery / baby items?

I am 20 weeks. When do you think a good time to start buying baby clothes / baby furniture is? Would most of you are beginning, or do you wait?, And we know the sex of the baby:)

I started shopping at 3 months. But I have not had a lot of things that I knew other people were going to buy me. After the baby is a good time too because you know what you do not have and can get the things you have need.
