Where can I find a modular solid wood bookcase in Cape Town?
Preferably around 2m H x 1m W and about 40cm deep with fixed shelves. It can be manufactured from a cheap type of wood (like pine or Moranti). No chip board or fiber board with plastic laminate.
I can not talk about your location, but it sounds like you would be better off to find a carpenter to make you one. I had a carpenter make me a couple of years ago, and I am about to have a contractor build me a second. Total cost around 500 euros for all wood and work. I have seen some solid oak or teak, but can not be exactly the right size anyway, and they are always more than 1000 euro. Or Ikea, but you then have the dreaded particle board, or at best color (very young) guy.
