Do you think this diaper-free baby movement is profitable?
I do not. Unless you think babies can defecate and urinate wherever and whenever it is not viable and poor countries in Asia and Africa is irresponsible to avoid diapers, however, that there is a part of the third world lifestyle well. from an environmental and personal view getting rid of diapers would be a godsend, since they are negative things that get full of baby junk. TV advertising is wasted and baby change stations could be released from public bathrooms thereby freeing up some space. Plus, nobody will miss them ugly diaper bags. Unfortunately there is no way to reconcile these two arguments because diapers are a necessary evil, and they are here to stay.
I saw the yahoo headline about this again today. Every time I hear it, I shake my head. No, I absolutely not believe it is profitable. I think it is simply a way for people to say "my children better than yours" or a way to avoid spending money on diapers. Biology can children not potty trained until a certain maturity, so expect them to do so when they are born, is ridiculous. If people are trying to do things "easier" to themselves, seems to me diapers is "easier." With Elimination Communication, the parents are constantly guessing where the child going to go ... it seems like too much work for me. And what a mess when you miss-guess! I personally do not feel any negative thoughts towards diapers, they are a Part of what is necessary to have children - which is all good. I have never used a diaper changing station in a public bathroom, so they could get rid of them anyway. They need not take any room anyway, since they fold up to the wall.
