Do you have your newborn sleep in their own room or a pool in your bedroom?

I am currently 6.5 weeks pregnant with my first little nugget and super super excited. I have heard that putting a basin in your room will kill your sex life, and will be difficult to put out the baby, when it is more adult, but I've also heard that it helps to have the baby on the bed with to get used to hearing them cry at night. What is the correct to do? Thank you!

My son slept in his pool, until he was 4 months old and grew his pool. My hubby finally got me to put him in his cradle. It helped me sleep knowing he was there and I could hear him breathe, etc.. I'll probably do the same with this baby I am pregnant with now.
